Activities Held in Diploma in Science

Assalamualaikum w.b.t

Being a part of Diploma in Science student is not only go to classes everyday. Then going back to hostel. Actually when you be a as120 student, automatically you have joining the Diploma in Science society, PERDIPSA. 

You can join many activities held in this club. The activities are :

1) Kem Simbiosis Anak Sains (KESAS)

   - This camp is joined by part 1 students, and organized by part 6 students. The purpose of this camp is to expose new students about PERDIPSA and they can know each other and the seniors by joining this camp.

2) Annual Grand Meeting

- The activities held in this meeting are: 

• They will view the financial statements for whole semester
• The activities that will be organized and past activities
• View slide for dinner theme
• Tribute to dean students
• Introduce the president of PERDIPSA and exco

3) Sports Science Carnival

- This activity will give the opportunity to the science student for they to do sport activites.
There's a lot of sport activities held in this carnival. Those who interested in sport can take part for the activity in this carnival.

4) PERDISA'S DINNER 

- This activity is held every semester, and they will have their theme for every dinner. For this semester . Dinner will held on 1st March.

Program AS 120 Diploma in Science

Today i will describe about my program. Fyi, i found a blog maybe from senior that have more description about this program. It is quiet fun to read at her blog too. Just click here :)

Diploma in Science (AS120) is a programme focusing in basic sciences and mathematics. The three year programme of six (6) semesters offers courses such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. Other courses include Computers and Information Processing, English, Islamic Studies, and Fundamental of Business.

I almost pass 4 semester in this course. It is quite tough, but all courses are tough right? as long as you want, you can got what you want. and you must study hard to get dean list. 

For job opportunities, graduates may be employed in various polymer related industries and may hold positions as laboratory technicians, quality control productions personnel and factory managers. Other career opportunities for those who are interested in Physics, chemistry and Mathematics including Engineering programmes suh as Civil, Electronic, Electrical, Chemical and Mechanical, Industrial Chemistry, and Computer Science. Other carrier options include teaching, which requires graduates to undergo a course for a Diploma In Education, Administrative or Management Executives or Research Assistants.

For those who registered in this course, they only have 5 semesters ( how glad you are hehe) . but unfortunately i dont have the list of new syllabus. but there is not big difference at all. Only subject such as CHM 256 Basic Analytical Chemisty will be dropped from this course.

Purpose Of My Blog

Okay first of all, we are doing our lab assignment for CSC 134, and the purpose of this blog is to describe ANYTHING about my program which is AS 120  Diploma in Science at Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Campus Jengka. :) 

Some people might wondering about this course. Actually at first i also feel the same way what is all about in this course. But at my time , after i got the UPU's result, it is quite hard for me to know the information about this program because only several people describe about this program. Sad story. hehehe.
